5 Ways To Generate Leads Online For Free
Most online marketing newbies will want to know ways to create online leads for their business. And if you don’t have a lot of cash to spend, you absolutely need to learn how to generate leads effectively online for free. There are no longer any excuses for not generating your own quality leads.
These are 5 excellent methods to create free online leads. This is by no means a definitive guide, just an outline of some of my favourite methods.
1. Social Media (Twitter, Facebook etc)
What I like about Social Networking is that it generally doesn’t take up too much time (unless you let it) and is a snap to do. Create a good, descriptive profile, start networking, and you could find some really good people to work with.
Don’t just add friends and followers for the sake of it though. Also, bombarding them with a sell is a no no. Make sure you are connecting with people and are offering value. It’s all about building relationships with this strategy.
2. Marketing With Videos
People seem to have short attention spans these days and often they’d rather watch a video than read something. Videos are a great method of connecting with people – its almost as if you are talking to them face to face. Search engines also love videos, ranking them high in a short space of time.
Record a good video, choose a relevant keyword and the first page of google could be yours in no time. Write something that describes the video, include a link to your website and you’ll have traffic that cost you nothing.
3. Article Marketing
This strategy is an awesome method to make you appear like an expert. Write about something you know. If you don’t have anything to write, research a topic or company to write about. Don’t worry if you’re not an authority on the topic, you only have to be more informed than the reader. Link to a lead capture page or blog inside of your author’s box. That’s how you convert readers into leads.
4. Forum Marketing
Forums are a great way to find quality people to work with and can also be a great source of information and ideas. Don’t pitch your opportunity inside a forum, the community of members won’t like it one bit. Make your posts valuable to other members. Your reputation is something you need to build here. Provide information and solutions to the other members and they’ll want to know more about you and how you can help them.
A blog of your own is an awesome place to build your image and for people to learn more. I like to think of it as sort of a central hub for your marketing efforts. Have your blog linked to from all of your Articles, Videos, Forums and Social Media Profiles. You can then link out to your Social Networking profiles such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube etc for people to find even more about you. It creates more ways for people to connect with you. Having all of your marketing incorporated into your blog, is something I love the idea of. It’s like having this platform to market from Include a webform in one of the sidebars next to the main posts so that you have a way to convert your blog’s traffic into leads.
Generating leads for free can be hugely beneficial but are a longer term strategy than paid methods. Don’t panic if you haven’t got any leads overnight. If you stay the course and take action every day, 50-100 leads per day could be yours.
